Kimberly Seipt, EPC, CHS, RIBO
We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. - Winston Churchill
Kim's greatest passion is to help others. She honestly believes that money is a means to fulfill your life goals. Kim has built a successful practice in retirement income planning and servicing the needs of the ever growing retired and senior market since 2004. She began her career in the life insurance and mutual fund sector. She is also the daughter of a 35-year veteran of the financial services industry. But Kim wanted to do things differently when she began her career. For her, it is much more than a financial plan, it is a life plan.
Having been raised in a home that put financial independence first and foremost, she gained an astute understanding of the need for financial planning. Her father had a heart attack at the age of 36, and she watched as the stresses of this unusual health emergency landed in her own home. This experience instilled the importance of the insurance sector as a value added to any investment plan. Building a plan that accounts for those unforeseen circumstances became one of the primary goals for ensuring her clients were protected. But further to that, understanding the emotional toll these circumstances can have on the family was what she realized needed to also be the focus.
Being able to have discussions about each client's personal journey and what their life plans are, lays the groundwork to creating the best financial life plan. Being nimble when circumstances come up, is the key to a lifelong relationship with her clients.
As her client base matured and headed into the retirement phase, her focus moved to meet the needs of this segment and has continued to service this area of the market when she moved to Holliswealth in 2013. Kim recognizes the unique needs of the aging population, and assists her clients fulfill their retirement goals as well as simplifying their estate needs. She also works with families to ensure long term care needs are supported as her client's physical and mental circumstances change.
In 2019, Kim completed her securities license, and has migrated her business to the securities platform of Holliswealth. This transition ensured her ability to meet her clients needs when involving securities. She previously had also obtained her EPC (Elder Planning Counselor) designation, CHS (Chartered Health Insurance Specialist) designation, RIBO License (Registered Insurance Broker of Ontario) and her Life Insurance License.
It has been close to two decades that Kim has helped her clients through some challenging and rewarding times. She has helped families navigate through the best and worst of times, and she finds it more and more fulfilling every day. Her clients have also watched her family grow during this journey, as she has had 3 children with her husband Rene during her career. Each one of her children accompanied her to meetings at different times. Sharing that experience with clients was very fulfilling for her. Clients have realized that they are in this journey together.
She and her family reside in Bolton, in the town of Caledon where she laid down her family roots when they built their home in 2004. Here she has her practice as a partner at Caledon Hills Private Wealth. In her spare time, you can find Kim spending time with her family at their cottage, or on the local golf course. She also enjoys camping, billiards, and boating and reading.
