Shane Nixon, CFP®, CIM®, CLU®, BBA (Hons)
I came to realize that a life lived to help others is the only one that matters and that it is my duty … This is my highest and best use as a human. - Ben Stein
Shane lives by that statement and uses his 20+ years of knowledge and expertise to help clients achieve their financial goals and reduce their financial stresses.
Born and raised in the Caledon area, Shane has become a highly respected leading financial advisor. He has built a successful practice by listening and focusing on his clients needs and goals. As founder and partner of Caledon Hills Private Wealth, Shane and his team provide a wide array of financial solutions built upon their unique Wealth Creation and Preservation System. Their affluent families and business owners benefit from the attention to detail when mapping out their wealth plans and the consistent monitoring and regular communication that follow it up. Shane also invests a lot of time researching and developing model portfolios catered to client risk profiles to maximize risk adjusted returns.
Shane began his career and honed his skills at one of the largest independent dealers in the country. Maintaining his independent and entrepreneurial spirit, he moved on to Dundee Private Investors which eventually became HollisWealth in 2011 after a change in ownership. During this time Shane committed to constantly improving his knowledge, skills, and value for clients by achieving his Life and Disability insurance licenses, his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations in addition to his BBA(Hons) in Entrepreneurship. In 2015, he transitioned his practice from the MFDA to the IIROC to provide additional products and services to clients. He believes that his passion for learning and keeping at the forefront of the financial industry will ultimately benefit his clients.
In his family time Shane is a dedicated husband and father of two rambunctious but incredible little boys. A former competitive triathlete, Shane can still be found riding the hills of Caledon or swimming at the local pools. He continues to play hockey, volleyball, and can still belt out a tune on guitar at a party or campfire.
